Process
1.Your first task is to create a candy box that will boost the sales of this wonderful chocolate bar. When designing the box remember who you are selling it to and what is attractive to you when you are shopping for candy. Two of your group members will be researching candy box designs and what is popular to get a better idea of what consumer like. After they do their research they will come back to the group and report their findings. The following websites will help you start your creative process.

2. After researching candy designs it is time to begin creating your life size model. Your team can make it any size that you believe will work just make sure to follow the guidelines below.
Have readable lettering
Have at least 3 original graphics
Have appropriate and correct grammar
All of your group members will be working on designing you candy box. Before you start creating the box look at the Candy Box Evaluation.
3. When your team has completed the candy box it is time to find out how much the consumers will like and approve of your candy box. Your team will be doing this by researching all the different types of surveys out there. All of them have a purpose, but you will have to figure out which ones will help you find out how well liked your teams box will be. Just remember that you need to have at least two different kinds of surveys to give out to the consumers. The two group members that did not research candy boxes will be researching the different types of surveys. When they have gathered enough information they need to bring back what they found to the group and explain the different types of surveys.
The links below will help you in finding out about the different types of surveys.

4. After researching the different types of surveys it is time for your team, as a whole, to create your two different types of surveys. These surveys need to be administered differently and have different types of questions on them. The below links will help your team begin writing your surveys.
How to Design a Survey
Designing a Survey
Before creating the survey look at the Survey Evaluation, so your team knows what needs to go in each survey. Remember that the more research your team does, the better your surveys will be.
5. When your team has completed all of your surveys the entire team will have our class take one survey and another class (that will already be chosen) take the other survey. After the surveys are returned to you, your team will go over the results and compile the average of all of the results. When compiling the average of the results your team needs to see how many answers were the same to each question. Read over every survey carefully and as a group decide what the opinion of the consumers was over all.
6. The first thing that you will do with the information that was collected from the survey is turn it into graphs. If you need help remembering how to create a graph the link below will have directions on how to.
Creating a Graph/Chart
The graph needs to show the average of all the surveys together. The average is how many times a response was chosen on each question. For example, I have 5 surveys and on question #1 the following responses were given:
strongly agree, neutral, agree, strongly agree, strongly agree.
These results when looked at as a whole tell me that the majority of the consumers strongly agree with that particular question. When making a graph I would have, for instance, a pie graph where 3/5 of it was red for strongly agree, 1/5 of it is blue for neutral and 1/5 of it was green for agree.
7. Next your team will begin to put together their oral presentation so that you can persuade the owner of Ooey Gooey Choco Bars to choose your box for their new design. Your presentation will need to include the below information.
Show the surveys that you used to poll the consumers
Explain why you used the survey you did and the types of questions that you used
Show graphs of information gathered from the surveys
Explain why you believe your candy box will be successful at bringing in profit (Make sure to back up your argument
with data)
Show your candy box and explain all of its features
When your team makes your presentation to the owner of the chocolate company your team needs to also turn into him/her all of the surveys you collected and the box that your team designed. It is very important that your team looks over the Oral Presentation Evaluation rubric before you begin gathering what you are going to say. There are a lot of points you need to cover in your presentation to the owner. Every group member will need to talk during the presentation and present a different part than their other group members. The below link will has information about presentations and public speaking if you need any tips.
